Why we created Yodel

Over the past 20 years, social media, streaming services, and other online activities are gradually pulling people away from their communities.  We believe communities are at risk of soon becoming simply a collection of strangers.

The good news is that most communities still have thousands of exciting events and activities that bring people together and create real, in-person connections.  The problem is that most people just don't know about them leaving only a small portion of the community actively engaged in local activities and events.

Local engagement is what builds communities, makes connections, and attracts people to live and work in a community.  Our goal is to help communities grow and become more vibrant by helping people know about and get engaged in these local opportunities.
